Amherst, New York – Picone Construction Corp. has completed renovations and relocation of Plato’s Closet to 7,505 sq ft of retail space in Northtown Plaza. The project included: select demolition, vinyl composition tile, carpeting, painting, electrical, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, acoustical ceiling panels, doors, frames and hardware. The Architect of Record was Lauer-Manguso and Associates Architects, EBS Engineering PC was also involved on the project. May 22, 2015

Buffalo, New York – Picone Construction Corp. has completed safety improvements to Kleinhans Music Hall located at 3 Symphony Circle, Buffalo NY. This project consisted of removal and replacement of two partial walls in the main hall. The new wall assemblies are adjustable in height to accommodate wheelchair seating on the main floor. The Architect of Record is HHL Architects and the Mechanical and Electrical Engineer is M/E Engineering PC. April 30, 2015
Niagara Falls, New York – Picone Construction has completed the $10 million Wingate by Wyndham Hotel located at 333 Rainbow Boulevard, Niagara Falls, New York. The four-story hotel consists of approximately 100,000 sq ft and includes: 110-rooms, indoor pool, breakfast area, meeting and board space, fitness center, restaurant and retail space. The Architect of Record was Silvestri Architects and the Project Engineer was Studio T3 Engineering. April 22, 2015
Amherst, New York – Picone Construction is pleased to announce the completion of a 4,000 sq ft interior build-out at the Maple Ayer Plaza, 1820 Maple Rd, Amherst NY. The space is occupied by Catalano Personal Training and includes an exercise area, office and restrooms. Architectural services were provided by Lauer-Manguso and Associates Architects. April 6, 2015
Buffalo, New York – Picone Construction has been awarded the contract for renovations at Buffalo Public School 99, Stanley M. Makowski Early Childhood Center, located at 1095 Jefferson Ave, Buffalo NY 14208. Work, which will start later this year, includes: select demolition; concrete and asphalt paving; doors, frames and hardware; acoustical ceiling panels; tile flooring; athletic flooring; tile carpeting; painting; electrical; plumbing; gymnasium equipment; climbing wall system; playground equipment; and artificial turf playground surfacing system. Construction is scheduled to be completed at the end of August. The architect for this project is Kideney Architects. April 1, 2015
Buffalo, New York – Picone Construction has completed the radiology equipment replacement for Sister of Charity Hospital, part of the Catholic Health System, located at 2157 Main St., Buffalo, NY. Work included: select demolition, general construction, finishes, and electrical work. Kideney Architects in Amherst was the Architect of Record for this project.
March 26, 2015 Buffalo, New York – Picone Construction has begun construction of the Pizza Plant Italian Pub at One Canalside, Buffalo NY. The restaurant will be located inside the first floor of the Courtyard Marriott building and will feature a full bar, dining rooms, kitchen, and grab and go area. The interior pub style and color scheme will reflect Pizza Plant’s Williamsville location with added historical Buffalo décor creating a very inviting atmosphere. Work includes: millwork; doors, frames and hardware; glass and glazing; drywall, acoustic ceiling “cloud” tin panels; ceramic tile; stained concrete floors; painting; toilet partitions and accessories; fire extinguishers; plumbing; HVAC; electrical and fire alarm. The architect for this project is Sutton Architecture. March 3, 2015

Buffalo, New York – Picone Construction has completed renovations to the Parish Commons located at 656 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo New York. After a devastating fire in 2007, the Parish Commons was first transformed from a burned out church to a medical facility. Continuing the look and feel of this unique medical space, the Parish Commons has continued to be transformed. The latest renovations included minor demolition, carpentry, drywall, insulation, painting, wood framing, new stairs, and installation of wood flooring. Kristin comes to us with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from SUNY Fredonia and prior experience in the construction industry. Yorkshire, New York – Picone Construction Corp. has completed the Pioneer High School’s science wing addition. Teachers and students have begun to move into these state-of-the-art classrooms which include: lab areas, storage rooms, and modern equipment such as Smartboards and LED projectors. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at 6 pm on January 20 at Pioneer High School, 12125 County Line Rd, Yorkshire NY. This addition is part of Pioneer Central School District’s $31 million capital improvement project and additionally includes: reconstruction at Pioneer Middle, Delevan Elementary, Arcade Elementary, and the bus garage. Continued work at Pioneer High School includes: a new performing arts suite, large group instruction space, new board of education room, expanded bathrooms, mechanical room, and storage/sawmill. Williamsville, New York – Picone Construction completed renovations and an expansion to a Western New York Technology Center which included approximately 29,400 square feet of building space in Williamsville, New York. The addition included: office space, conference rooms, meeting rooms, open workstations and a café. Demolition was needed for the entire interior space and an existing generator was removed for the installation of a new generator.
