Williamsville, New York – Following Chevrolet standards, Picone Construction has completed renovations to West Herr Chevrolet located at 8040 Transit Rd in Williamsville. Renovations included a reconfiguration of both the show room and office space. Updates included: installation of new walls, new ceramic floors, carpeting, vinyl composition tile, implementation of new color scheme, renovation of interior service area, and upgrades for handicap accessibility. Restrooms were enlarged and renovated. Exterior updates included: installation of metal panels; new signage meeting Chevrolet design standards; removal and replacement of sidewalks; and creation of new parking area in front of the showroom. Buffalo, New York – Picone Construction Corp. has completed interior renovations to the Leonardo Da Vinci High School located on the D'Youville College Campus at 320 Porter Avenue, Buffalo New York. Improvements made to Madonna Hall and Koessler Administration Building included: demolition and abatement, carpentry, millwork, doors and frames, hardware, drywall, painting, vinyl composition tile, carpet, electric, restroom accessories, and new lockers. Hamburg, New York – Picone Construction has completed the building of the new Arby’s Restaurant at 5115 Camp Rd, Hamburg NY. This 54-seat Arby’s Restaurant offers a drive-thru and fresh look as Arby’s celebrates its 50th anniversary and nationwide brand revitalization initiative which includes their Mega Meat Stacks menu. The architect for this project was Elizabeth Buscaglia, RA. September 22, 2014
Williamsville, New York – Picone Construction, the Design/Builder for this project, has completed renovations to Saints Peter and Paul Church in Williamsville. Work included installation of new chandeliers, sound system, kneelers, three-phase power system, and restored stations of the cross. Additional restorations were made to the Church’s marble work at the altar, parquet flooring, and the terrazzo. Interior painting has been finalized with a new updated color scheme. East Aurora, New York – Picone Construction Corp. began construction for the Village of East Aurora’s new Central Fire Station. This 22,800 sq ft two-story fire station will be located at 33 Center St., East Aurora, NY 14052. The East Aurora Central Fire Station will include a single story apparatus bay connected to a two-story administration / living quarters building. The fire station will consist of steel framed construction with masonry veneer and metal siding with some masonry block construction. The site development beyond the limits of the building will include a new asphalt pavement access drive and parking lot area as well as a rigid concrete pavement section. The construction manager for this project is The LiRo Group and the architect is Bergmann Associates. Completion is expected in July 2015. June 25, 2014
Yorkshire, New York – Picone Construction Corp. has begun work for the Yorkshire-Pioneer School District’s capital improvement project which includes a total of four additions at the existing high school and reconstruction at Pioneer Middle, Delevan Elementary, Arcade Elementary, and the bus garage. Yorkshire-Pioneer Senior High School construction will include a total of 32,855 sq ft of additional space to the science room, music room, mechanical room, and storage/sawmill. Gordon W. Jones Associates is the architect and completion is scheduled for December 2015. June 4, 2014
Buffalo, New York – At the Sixth Annual Preservation Awards Ceremony held May 30, Picone Construction, among others, had been honored for their outstanding work for historic preservation and restoration in the Buffalo Niagara area. The Erie Community College / Old Post Office received the Peter B. and Genevieve R. Flickinger Stewardship Award. Restoration included replacement of the building’s roof, granite and mortar repair of exterior stonework, repair of the tower, entrance and exit repairs, stairway and marble replacement, restoration of fourth-floor art glass, installation of four copper rooftop finials, and repair and reconstruction of all windows and window frames. In addition, the Oak St. loading dock was repaired and the porte cochere partially dismantled, parts rebuilt, and reassembled. May 28, 2014
Cheektowaga, New York – Picone Construction has completed the 6,020 sq. ft. Carquest Auto Parts Store located at 6370 Transit Road, Cheektowaga, NY. The project consisted of site development and erection of the new pre-engineered metal building with colored split face block veneer exterior. Now open, this new retail location replaces the store located further down Transit Road. May 23, 2014

Buffalo, New York – Picone Construction completed renovations to the Buffalo Armory located at 184 Connecticut St., Buffalo NY 14213. Project was for the replacement of a singular lavatory into a shower area and two separate lavatories. Major work items included: asbestos abatement, demolition, concrete, metal fabrications, carpentry, drywall, tile, paint, and accessories. The architectural firm for this project was Flynn Battaglia Architects. May 19, 2014

Amherst, New York – Picone Construction just finished interior renovations to the Amherst Health Center located at 1185 Sweet Home Road which consisted of: removal of an existing reception area to provide a children’s waiting area; renovating an existing waiting room and creating a central reception area with privacy screens to accommodate four staff check-in locations. Work included: demolition, temporary walls, carpentry, millwork, solid surface, wood windows, trim, metal doors and frames, drywall partitions, acoustic ceilings and cloud systems, vinyl composition tile, carpet, painting, HVAC, and electrical. Renovations were made while the facility maintained regular operations. LaBella Associates was the Architect, and LeChase Construction was the Construction Manager. |
