Picone Construction has begun interior renovations for the Buffalo Academy of Science Charter School. Work to the facility located on Doat Street in Buffalo include the conversion of an old monastery to a modern facility to be used as a campus learning space for students of the Charter School.
Work to the facility includes the completion of renovations to the first floor along with the installation of a small vestibule to several corridors providing interior access to the existing facility. The existing sacristy will be turned into a new warming kitchen to serve the renovated cafeteria while a new elevator will be constructed with an adjacent vestibule in the main building.
The second floor of the facility will be completely reconfigured into 11 new classrooms along with three new bathrooms for both boys and girls.
