Picone Construction has been named contractor of record for the Niagara County Law Enforcement Agency's new training facility that will be built on the Sanborn campus of Niagara County Community College (NCCC). The Law Enforcement Agency was previously located at Niagara University and was moved to NCCC in 2021. Picone is honored to partner with architects LaBella Associates, DPC to build the 15,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility that will be used to train newly hired officers and future officers for police agencies throughout Western New York.
Construction for the academy will include four classrooms with movable walls, men's and women's locker rooms, a reality-based training room as well as the use of a force simulator. Picone will be building the facility from the ground up with construction beginning in early summer of 2023.
